CASTING NEWS THE HUNGER GAMES SUNRISE ON THE REAPING

-

We have some new casting news for the new hunger games movie Sunrise on the Reaping scheduled for teachers November 2025. Kieran Culkin has been cast to prostrate Caesar Flickerman and I actually like this a lot. Of course they can’t cast Stanley Tucci in this role, but I can imagine Kieran dressing up doing the crazy hair and the make up and really getting into this character. I think that this is a perfect casting and I know people are upset about that but I’m just speaking my truth.

Then we have Ralph Fienns as President Snow, now people really wanted Kiefer Sutherland to be cast, but allegedly Ralph has gotten an offer. I don’t hate this I actually think that this could be a really good brave move and Ralph and Kiefer are very similar in age. Of course Kiefer would be playing the same character his father played in the original hunger games movie, so that would be really cool as well, but I think Wraith would do a good job with this.

Also allegedly Jesse Plemons has been asked to play Plutarch Heavensbee. I see the resemblance here, he kind of looks like a younger version of Philip Seymour Hoffman so I like this cast as well.

Then we have Emma Thompson allegedly being asked to play Drusilla Sickle an escort from the Capitol and had been going to District 12to carry out the reaping since the 25th Hunger Games.. She is mentioned in the prequel novel, “The Ballad of the Songbirds and Snakes” which focuses on the events leading up to the main hunger games series.

Allegedly Elle Fanning is in talks to play a young Effie Trinket in this movie and I think this is a perfect casting. No one is ever going to beat Elizabeth Banks as Effie Trinket But since Effie needs to be a lot younger in this movie, I think Elle is a perfect choice she is going to get into this character so well. I see this 100%. I think this would be my favorite casting out of everything I just mentioned, but what do you think about this?

No more Superman

Guys I’m not excited for Superman anymore. With the government fighting its own citizens and laws being changed to take right away, the prize tag getting bigger, I don’t feel like I believe a better day will come. I don’t have hope anymore.

WICKED (MOTHERS DAY)

How Watching  Wicked  With My Mom Led to an Unexpected Reunion For as long as I can remember, my mother and I have struggled to communicate. She’s free-spirited, reserved about her past, and has always carried a quiet weight that I never fully understood. I knew she had a difficult childhood—I saw it in her relationship with my grandmother—but she rarely spoke about it. It was a silence I grew up accepting, yet never quite grasping. Then one afternoon, we sat down to watch a movie. I had already seen  Wicked  in English, but when it became available in Spanish on Peacock (shoutout to you, Peacock, for the inclusivity), I decided to play it again, this time for my mom and my sister. I busied myself in the background, making lunch and folding laundry while they immersed themselves in the story. As the film neared its climax—when Elphaba discovers the book of magic—my mother turned to my sister and, with unguarded honesty, said,  This is how I see my life. She rela...

Doctor Doom Leak Suit

⚠️Spoiler 🚨 Alert Dr Doom costume suit reveal, allegedly. The date is April 13 and as of a couple of hours ago, a photo has been circulating the Internet, claiming to be a backstage quick shot of Robert Downey Junior fit testing his costume suit that he will be wearing as Dr Doom in the upcoming movie Avengers Doomsday. All mixed reviews have been posted and people have been commenting that for once they do not want to see spoilers. They do not want to see behind the scenes images. They don’t want to see on-site location, or paparazzi photographs. Viewers do not want this movie spoiled for them. This fan culture shift gives me hope that the Marvel fandom is healing and for once is willing to be patient.  Willing to wait for the artist, the actors, the directors, the backstage crew and everyone involved to do what they do best. To do it with enough time to produce the masterpiece movie that we all know they have the talent for.  I am so grateful that the fandom has learn...
